WEDDING DAY PREP GUIDE

Preparing for wedding day on-site beauty services with Deco Adamo involves several essential steps to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience. Here's a guide on what you'll need to do.

SEND OUT BEAUTY TIMELINE

Be sure to send out your beauty timeline and wedding day prep guide to your bridal party, anyone receiving beauty services and photographers so they are aware of when everyone will be complete with their beauty services. Have your bridal party arrive well before their service begins in case the schedule somehow gets moved around.

COLLECT INSPIRATION

Have your bridal party have 1-2 photos of inspiration for their look! This will help the consultation process go quick so we can stay on schedule.

PREPARE SPACE

Ensure there is enough room for the beauty team to set up their equipment and work comfortably. Clear a designated area for hairstyling and makeup application, allowing each artist and stylist enough space to work effectively.

Provide sturdy tables and chairs for each beauty professional. Chairs should be comfortable and preferably adjustable to accommodate different heights.

Ensure there are enough electrical outlets for hairdryers, styling tools, and lighting. If necessary, have extension cords and power strips on hand to accommodate multiple devices.

Good lighting is essential for makeup application and hairstyling. Ensure the space has natural light or let us know if lightning is not good so we can come prepared with artificial lighting.

Ensure there are clear pathways for you and your bridal party to move around comfortably without disrupting the work of the beauty professionals.

Consider setting up a separate area where you and your bridal party can relax and unwind when not receiving beauty services. This can be a space for quiet reflection or bonding with your bridesmaids.

DRESS APPROPRIATELY

Wear a button-down shirt or robe while getting your makeup and hair done. This will make for an easy transition when you are getting dressed after your appointment.

HOW TO COME PREPARED FOR YOUR HAIR SERVICES

Clean hair is easier to work with and holds styling better. We have product needed to help adjust your hair needs.

If you plan on wearing a veil or hair piece, make sure that you have this accessible.

Be sure to tell your beauty coordinator before they complete the timeline who will be wearing clip in extensions. This is an added fee to install the day of and needs appropriate allotted time on the timeline.

Use hair products sparingly on the day of your wedding. Too much product can weigh down your hair and affect its hold.

HOW TO COME PREPARED FOR YOUR MAKEUP SERVICES

Arrive at your makeup appointment with a freshly cleansed face and no makeup on. This provides a clean canvas for your makeup artist to work with.

If you have sensitive skin or allergies, discuss this with your makeup artist beforehand. They can use products suitable for your skin type and perform a patch test if necessary.

Refrain from facial waxing, non tested procedures, chemical peels prior to your wedding day.

Do not use SPF, retinol or chemical exfoliants prior to your preview.

Be sure to stay hydrated and moisturize skin leading up to your wedding day. Texture is difficult to cover with makeup so it is crucial that your skin texture is hydrated and smooth.

REMINDER

Parking must be included, reimbursed, or paid for in advance for all artists and stylists working your event.

If you wish to add gratuity to your service, we ask that you do so in cash, Venmo or Zelle straight to your assigned artist/stylist.
