Hanna Mccord

Professional Makeup Artist and Hairstylist

Why do you love doing Makeup?

I love doing makeup because I love to make someone feel better about themselves. I feel a huge sense of achievement after I made someone smile because they loved what they saw as they looked into the mirror. Having confidence in your self about who you are on the inside and out can be hard. The moment I style a clients hair or do their makeup they are gaining more confidence. I love that moment when a client realizes they were always beautiful inside and out.

What is your background in the beauty industry?

I have been a cosmetologist and makeup artist for since 2011. I began my career in Ohio working in a salon doing mostly hair. I truly enjoyed the wedding I would work with and wanted to expand that cliental. My husband and I move to chicago in 2013 in order for me to pursue more makeup. I have worked with photographers on high school senior shoots, clothing lines, professional shoots for clients, weddings, commercial, and more.

What is your favorite part about working with brides?

My favorite part about working with a bride is knowing she will remember this day the rest of her life and I got to be apart of that moment for her. She will look back on her wedding pictures and see how beautiful she looked that day. I love that I got to be apart of that day and memory.

What makes you stand out?

I'm a great makeup artist to work with because I'm extremely passionate about what I do. I left my family and friends in Ohio to work with clients in Chicago. You have to truly love your career to give up your life. I want to make everyone happy. I will do whatever it takes to make sure my client is beyond happy. I'm gentle, kind, on time, and determined to help my client in every way possible.
